• We only collect what we need for your enquiry or order, and delete it afterwards.

Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Render Services, Inc., San Francisco, USA, on servers in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). Render is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; EU standard contractual clauses also apply.

When you visit the site, technically necessary data is processed: IP address, date and time, page requested, amount of data transferred, browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are deleted after 14 days at the latest. All connections are encrypted with TLS.

Cookies and browser storage (cookie policy)

We only store what is technically necessary for the website (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG), which requires no consent. Anything else – currently only content from Google – is loaded only with your consent (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future: Cookie settings.

Google Maps and Google Street View

On our “Contact” and “About us” pages we embed a map and a 360° tour from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Your browser only connects to Google once you allow “External media”. Your IP address, the page visited and browser data are then transmitted to Google, and Google may set cookies. Data may be transferred to the USA; Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). More information: Google’s privacy policy.

Contact form, reservation and voucher requests

When you write to us, request a table or a gift voucher, we process your details (name, email, phone if given, number of guests, date, time, message) to handle and answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual steps or performance of a contract), otherwise our legitimate interest in replying (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Contact and voucher requests are not stored on our website but sent straight by email to our mailbox at STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany (processor under Art. 28 GDPR). To prevent abuse we automatically check whether a form was filled in by a bot; no data is passed to third parties for this.

Table reservations are stored in our database at the website host (see “Hosting”) so that we can confirm or decline your request and you can cancel it with your booking number. You receive emails about it (acknowledgement, confirmation or decline, cancellation). On the day of the booking the owner receives a text message with time, party size, name and phone number, sent via the SMS service seven.io of seven communications GmbH & Co. KG, Willestr. 4–6, 24103 Kiel, Germany (processor under Art. 28 GDPR). The data is deleted automatically 30 days after the booking date.

Online ordering via GloriaFood

We currently take online orders through the ordering service GloriaFood/FoodBooking, provided by Oracle Romania SRL, Floreasca Park, 43 Soseaua Pipera, 014254 Bucharest, Romania, and Oracle America Inc., 2300 Oracle Way, Austin, TX 78741, USA. When you click “Order”, you leave our website and go to GloriaFood’s ordering page. Nothing from GloriaFood is loaded on vipan.de itself, and no data is sent to GloriaFood unless you click the link.

On the ordering page, the details needed for your order are processed, such as your name, phone number, email address, delivery address if applicable, the dishes ordered and your notes. Oracle processes this data on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR) and, for its own purposes such as a FoodBooking account, as an independent controller. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Data may be transferred to third countries, in particular the USA, on the basis of EU standard contractual clauses. More information: Oracle’s privacy policy for GloriaFood/FoodBooking.

Retention

• Contact or voucher requests: deleted once dealt with, at the latest after 6 months.
• Table reservations: deleted automatically 30 days after the booking date.
• Server logs: see “Hosting and server logs”.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). Just write to info@vipan.de.

You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany.

You are not legally or contractually required to provide your data, but without the fields marked as required we cannot process an enquiry or order. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
